All shipments entering Mexico now must include the recipient’s tax ID to be passed to label providers. This tax ID is passed during the label buy process and allows orders to clear customs into Mexico.
Without this ID, orders may face customs delays and may not be delivered on time.
How it works
1. Orders must be submitted through the RyderShip API to include the new ID. You can enter the recipient’s tax ID on the customs_receiver_tax_id via the API.
2. This ID is then passed to the label provider in the appropriate field during label buy.
What's not supported
- You cannot enter the tax ID on the RyderShip app for an order. You must use our API.
- We are not able to support this tax ID for customers using our Shopify app at this time.
