You may see some different webhook notifications around inventory updates. The webhook updates are due to a new tool – Relocate Inventory – being implemented to make moving inventory in our warehouses simpler and easier.

Item Inventory Changed webhook

  • Most of the payload for this webhook has not changed.
  • This webhook now fires conditionally when the inventory’s location roles change that impact available quantities (up or down).

Code sample:

RelocateInventory-webhook.png

The webhook fires when a relocate inventory transfer affects available quantity. For example, if inventory is transferred from a pickable location (available stock) to a damaged location (not available stock), then the webhook would fire.

Lightbulb-1.pngThe webhook’s description is helpful to better monitor your available stock (pickable, backstock) and not available stock (damaged, reserved, pending) because the description shows the FROM and TO location roles in a transfer. See example above.

Warning.png Note that the other reason codes for the Inventory Adjustment webhook still exist and have not changed.
