Why import ship notices?

Ship notices are required in RyderShip to notify the warehouse that your inventory is on the way and outline exactly what items and quantities to expect.

If you have multiple ship notices to create, you can import the data for your ship notices all at once through a single .csv file via the Ship Notice Import page. RyderShip then creates all the ship notices for you.  You can use the Ship Notice Import page to create just one ship notice too.

Also, ship notices can be added on the Ship Notices page or via API. See Ship Notices for more information.

2.    Click the .CSV Format link to open a blank template.

3.    Use the following format to enter the data in a .csv file:

Creating multiple ship notices:

You must include the Reference field in the .csv file to group your SKUs into different ship notices. The Reference field is alphanumeric. Each unique reference value will be a different ship notice.

In the example above, SKUs Purple Bag and Red Bag will be on the same ship notice because both use reference value 22222.

Creating one ship notice:

A Reference field is not needed in the .csv file. All SKUs will be included on the same ship notice.

4.    Save your file with a new name using this format:  sn_import_xxx.csv

5.    Click Choose Data File to upload your file.

6.    On the Ship Notice Import page, enter all required information including the sender’s name, the warehouse where the shipment(s) will be sent, and the estimated delivery date.

7.    Click Import Ship Notice. You’ll see a success message if the ship notices(s) are created.

Below are the two ship notices created from our example. Note the different reference numbers and the item quantities.
