What are promo items?
Promotional Items (Promo Items) are add-ons like stickers, flyers, or occasionally special packaging (subject to approval at a promotional rate) that are included with orders under specific conditions.
Promo Items are intended to be included with other products and cannot be shipped on their own. If an order is entered into RyderShip containing only a promo item, it will be automatically cancelled. Please contact support@whiplash.com for assistance if needing an exception to this rule.
Promo Items have:
- Negligible Weight
- Negligible Value
- No Barcode
Inventory is tracked for the item and the item is listed on the packing slip; however, due to the unregulated nature of Promo Items, accuracy is not guaranteed. Ryder will not be held liable in cases of missing or erroneously added Promo materials.
Creating a promo item
1. Manually create an item
2. Open the item's Item Details tab page and scroll to the Shipping Details section.
3. Select the Item is promo option. See Promotional Items to learn more about promos.
4. Click Save Changes.
Once you have created the Promo Item, it's ready to be added to orders.
